Melancholy in this town on Wednesday, a colored man named Obed Coffin, having gone on a visit to one of his friends, at a considerable distance from his residence, and leaving for home in the evening, was not found till Friday, when he was found by a man while fishing, dead on the flats in this harbor. It is supposed that he, being very old, lost his way in returning, and wandered about upon these flats until the tide came and he was drowned.
