ORLEANS - Doris M. (Clark) Simmons, 65, died Sept. 17 at her home. She was the wife of Brian M. Simmons for 46 years.
Mrs. Simmons was born in Barnstable, raised and educated in Brewster and graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. She was a clerk for many years at Bradlees department store in Orleans.
She wintered with her husband in Venice, Fla. She was an avid sports fan and family was her life.
Besides her husband, survivors include two daughters, Deborah Pavlofsky of Orleans, and Lisa Simmons of Brewster; five brothers, Reginald Clark of Dennis, Louis Clark of Maine, and Leon, Ronnie and Richard Clark, all of Florida; two sisters, June Treen of Florida and Sally Palm of Eastham; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Sept. 21 at Orleans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center, 4 Bayview St., Hyannis, MA 02601.
