General:
Otis: The earliest record he found was in Mr Lothrop's Church records. "Richard Childe and Mary Linnett marryed the 15th day of Oct, 1649 by Mr. Collier at my Brother Linnett's House." [date difference]
There is a mention of children on the record but no names. Otis, while finding no positive evidence that Dea Richard Child was the son of Richard who married Mary Linnell, felt there was no reason to doubt that such was the fact.
