EASTHAM—Judith (Brackett) Doherty, 76, also of Blaine, Wash., died April 28. She was the wife of Carl Doherty.
Mrs. Doherty was born in Eastham. She graduated from Orleans High School and received her nursing degree from New England Baptist Nursing School in Boston, where she met her future husband. They married in Eastham and moved to Washington to start their life together and raise a family.
Mrs. Doherty enjoyed tennis, swimming, gardening and sailing with her husband and family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Mark, Patrick and John; her daughter, Ann Whitney; three grandchildren, all of Washington; two sisters, Betty Latham of Brewster and Phyliss Drayton of Eastham; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Eastham United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Judith Brackett Doherty Memorial Fund, c/o. Eastham United Methodist Church, Eastham, MA 02642.
