Notes
General:
Stratton questions these data. He acknowledges that Edmond Freeman's second wife's first name was Elizabeth but believes she had been married before to a Perry, to whom she had a son Edward Perry. If his daughter Mary died before he wrote his will in 1682, he'd have meant his son-in-law when he her husband his son. If he was referring to his wife's son by a marriage to a Perry, he'd have been referring to his stepson.
Rosemary Canfield, found in 'The Second Boat', Vol. 5, May 1984, says she was probably Elizabeth Raymer (or Rayner) who married in Shipley 10 Aug 1632 Edmundus Ffrieman. Shipley is a village about four miles from Billinghurst, where Edmund lived at one time. The marriage is in the Shipley parish register.
