NORTH EASTHAM \emdash Dorothea Remily, 84, of North Eastham, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2012.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bernard Remily. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Weekes) Benner.
Dorothea was born in North Eastham and resided there most of her life. She attended the local schools and was a graduate of the old Orleans high school.
Dorothea has a great interest in ancestry and enjoyed watching PBS. She was a member of the Eastham Council of Aging, and the Humanities class.
She enjoyed walking, especially on the beaches, bird watching, and had a love of animals, especially her kitty.
Besides her husband Bernard, she is survived by her brother, Loui Benner of North Eastham; and a niece, Audry Sukovich of Bethany, Conn.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home.

ORLEANS--Eileen E. (Bennett) Smith, 74, died Jan. 24, at EPOCH of Brewster. She was the wife of Richard N. Smith, Jr. They have been married for 53 years.
Mrs. Smith was born in Brewer, Me. She was a bookkeeper for the former A&P in Chatham and Orleans for many years.
Besides her husband, she leaves one daughter, Patricia Corbett of Brewster; two sons, Richard N. Smith III of Orleans, Jim Smith of San Diego, Calif.; her sister, Ellen-Louise Bennett of Melbourne, Fla.; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward Bennett.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, Canal Road, Orleans, followed by her burial in Orleans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in her memory to EPOCH of Brewster, C/O Hospice, 873 Harwich Road, Brewster, MA 02631.
