The inventory of his estate, (42 pounds, 12s.), was made June 6, 1694, by John
Hastings, William Shattuck, Sr., and William Shattuck, Jr., and his estate
was settled by his widow Mehitable, July, 1696. It appears, by the town
records, June 16, 1694, that he left his family so indigent as to need some
temporary aid from the selectman. It is not known what became of the widow and
her two sons.
