Marjorie F. (Silva) Pacheco, 91, of Provincetown, died Friday, Jan. 20, at the Cape End Manor, Provincetown. Her husband, Joseph Arthur Pacheco, predeceased her in 1975.
Born March 31, 1914, in Provincetown, Mrs. Pacheco was the daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Avila) Silva.
She met her husband Joe while working in Boston. After leaving Massachusetts, they moved to Mishawaka, Ind., until 1946, then moved to Washington, Ind., where they raised their daughters. After the death of her husband Mrs. Pacheco moved back to Provincetown in 1976.
She enjoyed playing bridge and doing crossword puzzles. She spent much time reading fiction and loved eating Fig Newtons and playing Crazy Eights with her daughter, Pattie. She also loved McDonald's French fries and honey buns. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her, but never forgotten.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce A. Stampfli of Chandler, Ind., and Arlene M. Masters of South Bend, Ind.; four grandchildren, LJ (Janet) Masters of South Bend, Ind., Mike (Pat) Masters of Clearwater, Fla., Pattie (John) Riggs of South Bend, Ind., and Lee Ann Stampfli of Chandler, Ind.; four great grandchildren, Michael and Amber Masters of Circle Pines, Minn., Brian and Brandon Riggs of South Bend, Ind.; two sisters, Helen Valentine and Mary Lambrou, both of Provincetown; and a brother, Albert Silva, of North Truro. Her stepmother, Helen, a sister, Charlotte Atwood Thatcher, and a brother, Frank Perry, predeceased her.
A funeral was held Jan. 24, with arrangements by the McHoul Funeral Home, Provincetown. Burial was in Provincetown Cemetery.

Marstons Mills \emdash Nestor "Knute" G. Silva, 76, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
He was the husband of Dorothy I. (Aalto) Silva for 53 years.
Born Aug. 16, 1934, he was raised and educated in Sandwich. He was employed as a truck driver with the Nemasket Transportation Co. and Boston & Falmouth, and was the owner and operator of Knute's Antenna Service until his retirement in 1999.
He was a lifetime member and past president of the Shawme Fish and Game Club, member of the Sagamore and West Barnstable ASA Softball League for many years, Town Meeting Representative from 1979 to 1989, board member of both the shellfish advisory board and the Sandy Neck Governing Board and the chairman of the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Prudential Committee.
He enjoyed hunting, shellfishing, the Red Sox and spending time at his cabin in Maine. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a true friend to so many.
Surviving are his wife and three sons, Theodore and his wife Maryellen of Centerville, David and his wife Donna of Centerville, and Robert and his wife Donna of Marstons Mills. Also surviving him are his six grandchildren, Robert Jr., Ryan, James and Rose Silva and Kevin and Nicholas Anderson.
A service was held at John-Lawrence Funeral Home in Marstons Mills with burial following at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
