Marie Alice (Sears) Brooke, 74, of East Dennis, died May 17 at Cape Cod Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Richard S. Brooke.
A lifelong Cape resident, she was born in Hyannis, grew up in East Dennis and graduated from the Dennis school system. She worked at the East Dennis Post Office for 35 years as a postal clerk.
Mrs. Brooke was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Mount Horeb. She loved bowling, gardening and being with her family and friends.
She leaves her daughters, Kathy Munson of East Dennis, Diane Nazir of South Dennis and Chrystal Brooke of East Dennis; a sister, Gertrude Belanger of Uxbridge; five grandchildren; and her cat, Sparkle.
A graveside service was held at Quivet Neck Cemetery, East Dennis.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
