TRURO - Mary E. (Sants) Packett, 94, of Truro died Nov. 6 at Cape Cod Hospital. She was the wife of the late Phillip S. Packett Sr.
Mrs. Packett was born in Provincetown, the daughter of the late John and Olive Sants. She lived in Truro in the same house for 50 years. For many years she worked as a waitress. She was employed at the former Howard Johnson's restaurant, the former Holiday Inn and the Patrician in Provincetown.
Mrs. Packett is survived by three sons, Phillip S. Jr. of North Carolina, Eugene I. Tavares of Florida, and George M. of Appleton, Wis.; four daughters, Judith M. Lee of Aurora, Ohio, Carol A. Paine of Upton, Donna L. Moore of Grand Island, Fla., and Gail A. Sparks of Truro; 27 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Arline B. Lyde and two grandsons.
Funeral services are private. Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Assoc. of Cape Cod, P.O., Box 370, Hyannis, MA 02601 or to the Truro Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2013, Truro, MA 02666.
