Cotuit -- Christie Francis Rennie, 93, died Feb. 20, 2008. He was the husband of the late Edith A. (Dunbar) Rennie.
Mr. Rennie graduated Barnstable High School in 1932. He served in World War II with the Army Co. E 101 Infantry, 11th Engineers Combat Battalion ETO.
He was a caretaker for 26 years for the late Carter P. Whitcomb of Cotuit and for two years at Creed Rosary in North Attleboro before retiring in 1975.
He is survived by a daughter, Janice C. Sullivan of West Yarmouth; two grandchildren, Christie F. Nystrom and Ricky E. Nystrom; and by several other family members.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce E. Nystrom; and brothers Thomas Rennie and Roger Burlingame.
A graveside service was held in Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
Donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
