BUZZARDS BAY \emdash Barbara Ann Baker, 80, of Buzzards Bay, formerly of Truro, passed away peacefully at her home on June 25, 2012. Barbara was born in Winthrop, MA to the late Walter F. Baker and Annie Harper (Rich) Gleason.

Barbara is survived by her three children; Thomas and Mark Spisak, and Annelle (Jeri) Fraser, three grandchildren; Mishelle Joy, Eric and Keith Fraser, five great-grandchildren; Zackary Chick, Jared and Paige Joy, Jonathan Schultz and Jacob Fraser. Barbara is also survived by her three sisters; Nancy Pease, Janet Kirkpatrick and Anne MacIntyre as well as five nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Aside from her family and friends, Barbara had a passion for genealogy and was deeply involved in the Rich Family Association. She served as editor, secretary and was on the Board of Directors for many years. Barbara also worked for the I.R.S. in Boston prior to moving to Cape Cod. Barbara also enjoyed knitting, reading, telling stories and any type of Cape Cod History.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Thursday morning, July 5, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 165 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, MA. Burial will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Truro, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barbara Baker Scholarship Fund at Rockland Bank and Trust.
