REVEREND MOSES BADGER, M.A.
Reverend Moses Badger was a graduate of Harvard of 1761, and some years before the war was a missionary in New Hampshire. In 1776, he went to Halifax, but before long returned to New York, where he became chaplain to De Lancey's second battalion. After the Revolution he was rector of King's Chapel, Providence, dying in that city in 1792. His wife was a daughter of Judge Saltonstall of Massachusetts, and sister of the Loyalists, Colonel Richard, and Leverett Saltonstall. 4

The William who married Deborah Nickerson may be a son of the one who married Mary Atwood.
On 19 June 1764, in settlement of estate of William Nickerson, half-brother of Deborah (Nickerson) Baddishall, wife of William Jr., mention was made of debt due William Padishall for support of Deborah's mother, Anna (Atwood) Nickerson, then called 'Widow Bearse.'
The will of William Nicholson, alias William Nickerson, late of Chatham, dated 13 Sep 1739 and proved 15 Nov 1742, made a bequest to Deborah Nickerson, unmarried. A codicil of 19 Oct 1742 provided a cow, pot, and kettle be given to dau. Deborah, 'now the wife of William Padishall.' 17
