He was said to have lived on the eastern shore of Maryland. He belonged to a church. There is record, 1805, at Princess Anne, Somerset co., of a deed of manumission from him to a negro, Cezar. At the same place, in the office of the registrar of wills, is record of the will of Elizabeth Newcomb, 1835, in which she manumits negroes; no other object in the will.
