Osterville -- George Hollingsworth Lovequist, 69, died suddenly on Feb. 11, 2008. He was the husband of Deborah Barrett Lovequist
Mr. Lovequist graduated from Yarmouth High School and Norwich University. He served as a pilot in the Army. He was president of the A. Lawrence Lovequist Insurance Agency in West Dennis until his retirement in 1999.
He was a member Cape Cod Agents Association for many years and served as treasurer on the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents. He was a director of Cape Cod Cooperative Bank for many years and a member of Cummaquid Golf Club, Oyster Harbors and Piper's Landing Yacht & Country Club in Palm City, Fla.
He is survived by children Erik D. Lovequist, and his wife, Melissa of Billerica and Betsy E. Coppa, and her husband, James of Savage, Minn.; and granddaughter Katherine E. Coppa of Savage, Minn.
A funeral service was held in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home in Marstons Mills. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery.
