"Former Resident is Found in Car DEad
Irving P. Knowles, formerly a resident of Provincetown, was found dead in his car near Webster Lake, Webster, Friday following a search for him since the previous day. Son of Mr. and Mrs. George L Knowles of West Dennis and Florida, Mr. Knowles was a resident of Brockton for many years and senior receiving teller at Plymouth County Trust Company. He became associated with chain stores when the bank was closed. He traveled much throughout the State during that time. For a time he was located in Provincetown and eventually went to Webster, where he became part owner of a retail store and was secretary of the Webster-Dudley Better Business Bureau." 12
