ORLEANS -Arthur Scott "Scottie" Homeyer died June 24 at home. He was 44.
Born in Caldwell, N.J., Mr. Homeyer was raised on Cape Cod and was a 1979 graduate of Nauset Regional High School.
He was a chef in many restaurants on the Cape, and owned the Sunset Grill in Orleans for five years.
Mr. Homeyer was an avid Red Sox fan. He enjoyed surfing at Nauset Beach and four-wheeling on the outer beach. He always appreciated the serenity and beauty he found there. He loved dogs and had a black lab named Guiness.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Homeyer, of Orleans, a brother, Ed Gill, of Orleans, and two nieces.
A memorial service was held at the Brewster VFW. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston - Cape Cod Branch, 3981 Main St., Brewster, MA 02631
Friends of Arthur Scott "Scottie" Homeyer will hold a paddle-out surfer memorial at Nauset Beach, Orleans, today, July 7, at 6 p.m. All are invited. Meet at the end of the Nauset parking lot.
