The children, grandchildren and only sister of Mrs. David H. Baker, observed her eightieth birthday at the home of her son, Mr. Geo. P. Baker, on Tuesday, Oct. 25th. Mrs. Baker was the recipient of many tokens of love and also recieved letters of congratulations and beautiful flowers from friends out of town. After the bountiful dinner of turkey, pies (made by mother's own hands), cake and ice cream. A poem, composed for the occassion by Mr. George Norris of Brockton, was read by Mr. Chas. H. Hoyt."
