Bourne - Nancy (Arey) Cahoon Leach died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006 after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Roy Cahoon of Sandwich.
Mrs. Leach was born and raised on Cape Cod.
Survivors include three brothers, Paul Arey of Buzzards Bay, Peter Arey of Brockton and Russell Arey Jr., of the Boston area; seven children, Mary Soares Hudkins of Attleboro, Roy Cahoon of Vt., Wayne Cahoon, Thomas Cahoon and Tammy DaSilva, all of Va., Kevin Cahoon of Gardner and Todd Cahoon of Hyannis; and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral services were private.
Memorial donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 259 Willow Street, Unit 2, Yarmouthport, MA 02675.

"Oliver Arey ... died in a part of Eastham which is now Orleans between 23 Mar 1813, the date of his will, and 13 Apr 1813, when letters testamentary were issued to Asa Higgins and Seth Sparrow as executors. He married first Mercy ---; and secondly Rebecca ---, whom he mentions in his will.
In his will, witnessed by Thomas Airy, Joseph Airy, and Rebecca Airy, he gave to his daughter Ruth Adams only $5, bequeathed to his wife Rebecca one-third of all his real and personal estate, and provided that the remaining two-thirds should be equally divided among his other four daughters and his son-in-law Asa Higgins. His sons-in-law Asa Higgins and Seth Sparrow were named as joint executors. The estate was appraised at $2150."
Mercy was the mother of Lucy, Mercy and Oliver, while the mother of the others is not known. 39
