Scott Fenner, 44
Marstons Mills — Scott L. Fenner, 44, died suddenly on June 24, 2008.
Born in Hyannis, he was a lifelong Barnstable resident, growing up in Cotuit and moving to Marstons Mills in 1999. He graduated from Harwich Tech and soon thereafter joined the Cotuit Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter and EMT for the next 18 years. In 1999, he left the department to pursue his lifelong dream of opening his own auto mechanic shop. As a gifted mechanic, Mr. Fenner could fix anything on wheels.
In his spare time, he enjoyed building hot rods in his home garage and going to car shows. An avid mountain bike rider, he enjoyed the thrill of a good jump and could never pass up a ride. Over the past few years, Mr. Fenner spent much of his time building and repairing bikes. He had even begun to build his own custom bikes marked with the letters "SFS."
Mr. Fenner was an animal lover and was especially fond of his black cat, Turbo.
He is survived by his father, Graydon Fenner; mother, Amelia Fenner; wife, Donna Fenner, of Marstons Mills; his son, Patrick Fenner, of Cotuit; and his stepdaughters, Amanda Parker of Naples, Fla., and Meghan Parker of Marstons Mills.
