HYANNISPORT \emdash Mary E. Maki, age 90, of West Hyannisport, died March 18, 2012, at the McCarthy Care Center of Sandwich. Beloved wife of 70 years to Frederick E. Maki.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Cape Cod and longtime member of the Nickerson Family, Inc. She served on several Town Committees to preserve the natural beauty of Cape Cod and to improve particularly, Hyannis. Mary was an avid bird watcher and cherished and enjoyed the beautiful beaches of the Cape.
Mother of the late Frederick E. Maki, Jr., Sister of the late Mervin "Sonny" Eldredge and the late Bonnie (Eldredge) Robbins.
In addition to her husband, survived by grandaughter and husband, Jennifer (Maki) and Sean Murphy and 2 great-grandaughters, Olivia and Julia.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, March 21, at 1:15 p.m. in Beechwood Cemetery, Centerville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA
