Isabel D'Entremont, 92
Isabel (Martins) D'Entremont, 92, of Provincetown, died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 4, at Liberty Commons Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chatham.
Ms. D'Entremont was born in Provincetown and lived here all her life. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Sara (Ghen) Martins, who both died while she was a child. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle, the D'Entremont family, with whom she resided for many years.
She worked as a secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in Provincetown and Truro for many years and retired around the age of 65. She has been a member of St. Mary of the Harbor Church in Provincetown since 1929 and proudly sang in the choir for 63 years She was also a member of the Provincetown Choral Society.
Ms. D'Entremont is survived by her family of close friends, including the Fred and Shirley Maichle family of Plymouth and Truro and Beverly Roberts of Provincetown. She was the godmother of Janice (Maichle) Sawyer of Truro and Jeffrey Ermer, formerly of Provincetown.
Friends are invited to visit on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Harbor Church, 517 Commercial St., Provincetown. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m Following the service interment will take place in the family lot at the town cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Ms. D'Entremont may be made to St. Mary of the Harbor Church, 517 Commercial St., Provincetown, MA 02657 or to the Provincetown Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 109, Provincetown, MA 02657. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gately \endash McHoul Funeral Home of Provincetown.
