CONSTANCE DE PROFIO OF CHELMSFORD
Mrs. Constance R. (Kew) DeProfio of Chelmsford, MA. died Aug. 14, 2000, at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was married to Mr. Anthony DeProfio with whom she would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on Oct. 3, 2000.
Born in Lowell, MA. on July 10, 1928 the daughter of the late Loring Kew who was the Sheriff of Middlesex County at the time of his death, and Bertha May (Greene) (Kew) Dooley. She was a graduate of Howe High School in Billerica, MA., with the class of 1945, and Fisher Jr. College in Boston, with the class of 1947.
Over the years she was employed as a stenographer at the Middlesex Court in Cambridge, MA., and as a secretary with the Ames Worsted Mills in Lowell, MA., Lowell Technical Institute, the Raytheon Corp. in Waltham, MA., as a Kindergarten teacher in Chelmsford, and as a bookkeeper with her husband's company Connie Chemical Co.
She was a member of the Mount Hope Christian Center in Burlington, MA., the Chelmsford Town Republican Party, League of Woman Voters, Chelmsford Garden Club. She also volunteered at Lowell General Hospital, and was a Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher at the Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son and his wife James A. and Pamela S. (Merrill) DeProfio, of Lowell, MA.
She was the sister of the late Loring Kew Jr. who died in 1982, and Carolyn Kew who died in 1946 both of Lowell, MA.
